Charity Begins at Home

This email was forwarded to me today:

[TeaneckShuls] Rabbi Daniel Feldman Shiur TONIGHT
From: drlustiger
To: TeaneckShuls@yahoogroups.com
Date: Mon Feb 01 08:21:43 2010

Rabbi Daniel Feldman will deliver a shiur TONIGHT at Cong. Beth Aaron at 8:45 PM on the topic "Lashon Hara on Matters of Public Knowledge". All are invited.

Why isn't this shiur in Etz Chaim of Teaneck at 554 Queen Anne Rd?

If Rabbi Feldman's own congregants don't listen to him as evidenced on other blogs within the blogosphere, why should anyone else?

In short - If your synagogue goers don't follow your opinions or advice and you can't take care of these issues internally with your supporters, why even bother bringing your Torah and lessons to Beth Aaron.

If you can't preach to your choir, then Rabbi Feldman, you have a huge problem on your hands.

So Mr. MacDougal when are you going to discuss ToraT vs. ToraS Chesed and Care One?

Shluffenheimer (I hope its cool that I call you by your first name, is just that I feel I know you well) I have a question which is a follow up I guess from Tired of Truthiness and thats about this whole torat chesed-toras chesed thing. Isn't torat and toras the same word in hebrew with just different pronounciation? I don't know much about this kind of thing but it doesnt seem like a big deal to use both words right? Can you explain what the prob is please?

Hi Anonymous. May I call you by your last name?

Mr. Said, ToraT and Toras are both transliterated Hebrew. Both words have the same exact meaning but different sects of Jews pronounce the final letter differently. In Hebrew they have exactly the same meaning.

Tired of Truthiness wrote on Teaneckprogress that
"You obviously are one of the people in the "know" at Etz Chaim. Maybe even Mr. Teaneck-Honestly himself.

Are you denying that the "Leadership" of ToraS Chesed went around to all the people that donated money to ToraT Chesed with a document for the donors to sign stating that they know that the money they donated to ToraT Chesed was put into the ToraS Chesed bank account, essentially so that they don't press charges or take the "Leadership" of ToraS Chesed to court?"

I am not sure about the entire situation because I was not a member of the group that left the Jewish Center, but I can tell that I do know that the group that left called themselves ToraT Chesed with a T and I guess a second corporation was opened up with almost the same name. Tired of Truthiness is claiming that money that was earmarked for ToraT was deposited into ToraS.

If anyone has more information about this I would like to write about it. Links to tangible internet based sources would be helpful.

I hope that answer helped you Mr. Said.

All the best,
Shluffenheimer

Hey Scluff, I was looking for you last week at the Jewish Center. I stopped by their kiddish. I saw many people that I know, but I have a feeling that you were not there. Dude why don't you come to my turf at Care One we have a kiddish every week. It is a small minyan and we could always use an extra guy. I'm not trying to make you orthodox. You know too much info not to be. I may not be orthodox. I try to be traditional not that it gets you anywhere. Toras and torat are not really connected to Care One, Dude forget about them. Join us and we will talk, Wait for it ----- DARY---- My friend Ozzy who davens in the Hallel V Zimrah was looking for you too. No luck keep on rockin brother Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart, you are at CareOne? Did you donate money to ToraT Chesed, only to have the checks deposited to a ToraS Chesed account? Were you approached by the treasurer to sign a document stating that you knowingly did that and that you will not press charges? If you did, I need a copy of that document so I can put the ToraT/ToraS Chesed argument to bed. If you are at CareOne and see what Feldman and his crew are doing to the people you pray with, how can you defend him and respect him? Don't answer that, I'm gonna puke.

Your postings are clever and I think I know who you are, but you know how to find me if you want to converse. spread the love brother.
